WE ARE NOW CLOSED FOR THE SEASON.  WE WANT TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR BUSINESS AND HOPE YOU HAVE A HEALTHY AND HAPPY YEAR.  SEE YOU NEXT FALL!

WHEN THE WORK’S DONE IN THE FALL

Some folks like the springtime
When the birds are building nests
While some prefer the summer
When flowers are at their best.
Others enjoy the autumn…
They like it best of all,
But give me the good old wintertime
When the work’s done in the fall.

The juicy apples have been picked
And oh, how good they taste…
The fragrance in the cellar
Reveals their hiding place.
There are Jonathans and Winesaps,
Northern Spies and all
To be eaten up with lots of zest,
When the work’s done in the fall.

Piles of orange pumpkins
Make me dream of pumpkin pie;
Hams and shoulders hanging high
With sausages to dry.
There’s a barrel of cider vinegar
And canned fruit in the hall,
Plenty of sturdy food to eat…
When the work’s done in the fall.

Then when the wind begins to howl,
And the snowflakes start to fly,
When all the leaves have fallen
And the wild geese are passing by,
Grandma will knit by the fireside
While the cat plays with the ball.
That’s the best time in the country…
When the work’s done in the fall.

Honey Hill Orchards are family-owned and operated orchards, that were started as a hobby in 1965.  Today, the original orchard location has 2,100 apple trees, with an additional 500 trees at a second farm location.  What started out as a simple farm stand has grown to include pick your own apples, raspberries and pumpkins, a bakery, the Apple Barn Country Store and family activities.

Through the years, one thing has remained constant, and that is our commitment to our customers.  In addition to providing our customers with quality products, we give families a chance to spend time on the farm and create some great family memories and traditions.

We hope you’ll take some time to sit back and browse through our site.  We’re sure you’ll find something that interests you.  Better yet, why not bring the family out for a beautiful day in the country.  Please visit Hours & Activities for exact dates.

We look forward to seeing you.
