NIELSEN BELGIANS We want to thank Phil Nielsen for coming out with his Belgian horses to give horse drawn wagon rides again this year. Phil was here several weekends to give rides. Young and old alike had a great time on the rides and everyone enjoyed seeing these beautiful horses at work. WATERMAN FIREFIGHTERS' HERITAGE CORPORATION LUNCH SUNDAY, OCTOBER 7 - The Waterman Firefighter's Heritage Corporation made their first time appearance at the orchard serving some great porkchop sandwiches and hamburgers. We appreciate everyone coming out to support our local firefighters and help them raise money to maintain the history of the Waterman Fire Department and also restore the department's first fire truck, a 1939 Ford. We look forward to having the firefighters back again next year. WATERMAN LIONS CLUB PORK CHOP SANDWICHES We want to thank the Waterman Lions Club for coming out to the orchard this fall to serve their butterfly pork chop sandwiches. Their pork chops are always a great hit with out customers. Lions Club is a wonderful service organization dedicated to providing assistance and research for the sight impaired. All proceeds from their lunches are used for local and international Lions Club programs. CATTLEMEN'S ASSOCIATION STEAK FRY THEY WERE GREAT! - The DeKalb County Cattlemen’s Association had a great day here at the orchard. A lot of people came out to enjoy the steak sandwiches and hamburgers. This year we didn't miss out--we were first in line! The sandwiches were great and we want to thank the Cattlemen' Association for coming out to the orchard. PUMPKIN HARVEST WEEKEND - OCT. 6, 7 & 8 We had a great time celebrating Pumpkin Harvest Weekend here at the orchard. We enjoyed seeing people find the perfect pumpkin in our patch. We also had fun giving away a giant pumpkin each day. We want to thank everyone who came out to help us celebrate fall and kick-off the Halloween season. Last updated 10/31/07 |
